Meet Head Coach Ali
Founder of British MMA

“Study everything, discard what is useless, keep what is useful, and add what is uniquely your own.” – Bruce Lee

Head Coach Ali established the British MMA in West London in January 2018. Since then the Club has grown and expanded its reach through other additional locations within London.
Coach Ali is a practicing martial artist and combative student and teacher who never stops training with some of the best trainers in the world. He has black belts in over 3 different martial art forms.
His background in training doesn’t only limit to martial arts but has been working for the British Army for over 4 years. He was a Physical Training Instructor teaching hand-to-hand combat with outdoor training.

Throughout his journey at British MMA as Head Coach, he has seen multiple states, national and international champions develop and succeed in both martial arts and life outside of his club. His club had been awarded over 10 trophies and were the qualifiers for the Canada World Fight Sport and Martial Arts Council 2020 Competition. He has also helped other fighters from abroad become the strongest version of themselves including Rustam Attai aka The Iceman from Australia who won his World Kickboxing Organisation (WKO) 2022 Championship Belt.

Coach Ali was 4 years old when he started Karate which was soon followed by boxing and kickboxing. He was very young when he watched his first Bruce Lee movie. From that point on, he became fanatical about martial arts, training and travelling the world developing his knowledge through various styles of martial arts.

Coach Ali has been travelling in different parts of the world training in different styles of martial arts under other masters and instructors, seeking to learn and teach the best and most effective martial arts to his students. Coach Ali has trained in the following martial arts/combat styles: ITF, KAPAP (Krav Maga), CQC, Grappling, BJJ, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Pressure Points, Weapons, Karate, Judo, MMA and Wrestling.
Due to this training and philosophy, classes at the British MMA incorporate elements of these skills into all our sessions. Head Coach Ali’s focus is to provide strategy and direction for British MMA as well as mentoring and guiding the team of coaches in order to achieve British MMA’s mission and vision.

This commitment to making martial arts accessible and fun for everyone has led to classes being taught at various locations every week in London, and the British MMA being recognized as a UK approved club from the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association (BMABA).

Please contact Coach Ali if you would like to know more about how you can enrol your child to British MMA.
